Our beautiful Finn is ONE. 🥹
When I was thinking about a theme for his first birthday, “It’s Fun to Be One” just felt so perfectly him. Finn is the happiest little soul — always smiling, always laughing and just genuinely such a joyful little boy — so I wanted his first birthday to feel exactly the same. Fun, colourful and full of happiness.
I had a pretty clear vision in my head and decided to DIY almost everything myself. I love creating things like this, but I also wanted to keep the party relatively budget-friendly and show that you really don’t need to spend a fortune to make something feel special.
I made the pastel paper chains, balloon garlands, little Finn-face decorations and cupcake toppers myself, then pulled everything together with lots of colour, stars, streamers and, of course, a disco ball. 🪩
There were definitely a few late nights involved 😂, but seeing it all come together was so worth it.
A bright, happy little celebration for our bright, happy little boy. It really is fun to be one. 🌈✨

Cup cake toppers - I got a variety of colours and patterns
Face Banner (I ordered two and added them together)
Welcome linen banner 61cmx191cm fitted the stand perfectly.
Star banners (I got 8 and used them in a few different ways)
Balloon Garland - I bought 3 packs and recommend doing the same to allow for balloons popping etc. You get a lot of tiny balloons but I used almost all medium and large in my garlands.
Balloon Glue for sticking balloons to the roof
Long balloons for add balloon clusters together for garland
