Have questions??

Below you'll find answers to some of my most frequently asked questions..

The real you framed into a timeless portrait

Newborn Faq's
When should I book my newborn session?

I recommend booking while you’re still pregnant to ensure a spot in my calendar. Newborn sessions are best held within the first 1–2 weeks after birth, when babies are extra sleepy and curly.

What if my baby arrives early or late?

Not to worry, babies rarely arrive on schedule! Once your little one is born, we’ll lock in the exact date together. I always allow flexibility in my calendar for this reason however it's best you get in. touch in the first day or two after birth possible to ensure we get you and your bub in as soon as possible.

What if my baby doesn’t settle or cries during the session?

Totally normal! Babies run the show and I work entirely at their pace. I build in time for feeding, changing, and cuddles so you never feel rushed. If your baby really doesn't want to sleep we will proceed with awake photos and hope they fall asleep at some point during the session. For best results its highly recommended that you follow the recommendations in my email (sent out in the lead up to your session).

Do you provide props and outfits?

Yes — my studio is fully stocked with carefully chosen wraps, blankets, and timeless props. I also provide wardrobe guidance for parents and siblings so everything feels cohesive and effortless.

Please check out my newborn portfolio for the types of props included. Please note I do not wrap and pose baby in baskets.

Can siblings and parents be included?

Absolutely! Family connections are at the heart of my work. Siblings and parents are always encouraged to join in.

How long does a newborn session take?

Most sessions run between 1.5-2.5 hours, allowing plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and capturing a variety of photos.

What if my toddler won’t cooperate?

Toddlers are beautifully unpredictable — I expect it, and I love it. I use a mix of play, patience, and quick reflexes to capture genuine moments (sometimes the chaos makes for the best photos!).

How do I prepare for my session?

Before your shoot, I’ll send a simple preparation guide with tips on what to wear, what to bring, and how to make the day feel stress-free.

When will we receive our photos?

You'll receive a selection gallery within a week and your final edits within 3-4 weeks after finalising your gallery choices.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, flexible payment options are available — just let me know what works best for you.

Do you offer a client wardrobe?

YES - I offer clothing for mum and baby. My wardrobe consists of a range of beautiful gowns that retail for $200-$400 and handmade newborn knits. Utilising my client wardrobe means you won't have to buy a new outfit or hire one!

What if I don't want to come before two weeks?

That is absolutely fine, I can accommodate a session a little later. In if you miss the first few weeks, my next favourite time to capture your newborn is between 8-12 weeks, they are usually alert and smiley around this time which means we can capture their little personality. Please keep in mind some babies aren't very sleepy at this age so sleeping photos may not be possible.
